HOLDING SPACE FOR SOFTENING, PRESENCE, AND RELAXATION.

Founder of Gentle Earth Sound Therapy and Holistic Wellness, Betty Gauthier (she/her) is a Therapeutic Sound Methodology Practitioner, RYT® 200 Yoga Instructor, Vipassana Meditation, Breathwork, and Yoga Nidra Teacher, and Usui Reiki Master. She is fully insured and registered while actively dedicated to operating at the highest of standards strictly adhering to this Professional Code of Ethics.

The essence of Betty's work is about helping those she meets to establish and maintain a lasting connection in mind, body, and spirit. As a practitioner, she draws on mindfulness practices and implements her experience as a Trauma-Informed facilitator in all aspects of client care and well-being. Betty's work radiates from the heart and her sincerest desire is to offer support and inspiration to all who are looking for ways to restore or enhance balance and harmony in life. She comes from a place of non-judgment and unconditional love, ready to meet all beings where they are on their own journey while holding space for limitless possibilities.
For many years, Betty facilitated monthly sound offerings, workshops, and classes at several Lansing and East Lansing studios but has since refocused her practice solely on serving private clients. She is a longtime featured teacher on InsightTimer and deeply enjoys being able to support our global community through a variety of online stillness practices. With great honor, Betty is privileged to bring therapeutic sound and Usui Reiki support to several local community organizations such as Ele's Place Capital Region, The Firecracker Foundation, and Hospice of Lansing.

MIND CONNECTED TO BODY. BODY CONNECTED TO SPIRIT. SPIRIT CONNECTED TO MIND.
While community service resonates with her deeply, it is Betty's personal and spiritual practices that allow her to continue to show up for herself and others. Mindfulness has been an integral part of her life, exploring her own meditation practice rooted in Plum Village Buddhist traditions for over 20+ years. Sparked by Thich Nhat Hanh's The Heart of the Buddha's Teaching, in 2008, Betty decided to take the precepts and her refuge vow (a formal commitment to the Buddhist Path) in the Lieu Quan lineage. Her Dharma name is Collective Embrace of the Source. When not doing therapy work, you can find Betty hiking national parks with her best friend and husband of 37 years, cycling, trail running, playing one of many instruments in her Michigan home, or nurturing her state of Being through the 8 Limbs of Yoga.

“Healing is always possible, especially when we have a spiritual practice to take care of our body and mind. In fact, to be aware that you have a body and to learn to listen to it is already healing. The healer, the healed, and the healing process are in each other, they are each other— they interare.” [Sister Dang Nghiem]
